About

I have over 20 years of experience teaching students who learn differently in public and private settings.  I have been in private practice since 2010 and a licensed therapist in the State of Texas since the licensure began.  I am the daughter of a gifted dyslexic mother and the sister to two dyslexic brothers.   As the mother of six children, I have had a daughter and a son who struggled learning to read and later with reading comprehension. 

I have completed training in the Orton-Gillingham based Basic Language Skills, Reading Readiness, Advanced Scientific Spelling, Oral language and Listening Comprehension, Multisensory Grammar and Written Composition, Developing Vocabulary for Reading Success, Developing Metacognition Skills: Vocabulary and Comprehension, Written Composition 1, Written Composition 2:Essentials of Recursive Revision, experienced with dysgraphia, attention deficit, and behavior issues.  I find joy in watching my students grow toward their potential.  I love teaching.  Welcome.
